1. Policy Coverage
Tutors Parliament ("we," "our," or "us") aims to connect families with elite, highly verified educators. We understand that educational requirements are dynamic. This Refund Policy governs the financial protocols, subscription packages, and refund request evaluations for services rendered on our platform.
2. Demo & Evaluation Period
To ensure a perfect academic match, Tutors Parliament facilitates a free initial evaluation session (demo class) for all student requests. We strongly encourage parents and students to use this session to evaluate the educator's style, subject expertise, and alignment. No package payment is requested until you are completely satisfied with the matched tutor.
3. Package Subscription Terms
Upon package enrollment, subscription fees are committed to securing the educator's schedule. Refund requests are evaluated as follows:
- Within 7 Days of Payment: If you wish to discontinue sessions within the first 7 calendar days of subscription activation, a refund will be processed. The refund amount will equal the total fee paid minus the prorated cost of sessions already conducted and a minor 5% platform service charge.
- After 7 Days: Subscription packages are non-refundable after 7 calendar days from the date of payment. However, remaining hours can be paused or converted into credit for another subject or family member.
4. Tutor Matching Guarantees
If your matched tutor becomes unavailable due to emergencies or if you request a change due to academic mismatch, Tutors Parliament provides up to two (2) free replacements within 48-72 hours. A refund is only processed if we fail to match a suitable replacement educator matching your primary criteria within 7 business days.
5. Non-Refundable Conditions
No refunds will be approved under the following circumstances:
- Discontinuing sessions after the 7-day refund window.
- Subscription packages that remain completely inactive for more than ninety (90) days due to lack of scheduling request from the student's end.
- Sessions conducted but marked as poor because of student absence or lack of academic materials.
6. Request Process & Timeline
To request a refund, submit a formal email to hello@tutorsparliament.com containing your matched reference, invoice ID, and exact reason for the discontinuation. All validated refund claims are processed back to the original payment source within 7 to 10 working days.
