Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: April 29, 2026

1. Policy Coverage

Tutors Parliament ("we," "our," or "us") provides a flexible, secure ecosystem connecting expert educators with students. This Cancellation Policy governs (a) individual session scheduling changes, (b) ongoing subscription program cancellations, and (c) profile termination procedures for parents, students, and tutors.

2. Session Scheduling & Rescheduling

To maintain professional respect for our educators' dedicated time blocks, we enforce the following individual session scheduling terms:

  • 4-Hour Notification Window: If you need to cancel or reschedule a pre-arranged session, you must notify the tutor or coordinate via your student coordinator at least four (4) hours prior to the scheduled start time.
  • Late Cancellations / No-Shows: If a cancellation is requested with less than four (4) hours' notice, or if a student does not show up within 15 minutes of session activation, the hour will be fully billed and deducted from your package balance. Tutors must wait online for a minimum of 15 minutes.
  • Tutor Cancellations: If a matched tutor cancels a session late or fails to join, the credit is immediately returned to your package, and you are eligible to request a free matching replacement.

3. Program Packages Discontinuation

Ongoing packages can be paused or cancelled at any time by contacting your dedicated counselor. If you cancel an active package:

  • Remaining hours will be preserved as active credits on the platform for up to 90 days. You can use these credits to match with different tutors or transfer them to alternate academic streams.
  • Formal refund requests for unused credits must comply strictly with the rules defined in our Refund Policy (applicable within 7 days of subscription activation).

4. Profile Deactivation & Deletion

Users maintain full data sovereignty rights:

  • Student/Parent Profiles: You can request complete profile deletion and database purging by submitting a request to our support desk, provided there are no active, pending financial transactions.
  • Verified Educator Profiles: Tutors seeking to leave the Tutors Parliament network must notify their matching managers at least 15 days in advance to ensure the smooth transition of assigned students and finalization of billing accounts.

5. Disciplinary Suspension

To maintain the high standards of our secure network, Tutors Parliament reserves the right to immediately terminate access or revoke verification credentials for any user who violates system codes, including but not limited to: bypassing platform billing rules, harassment, direct solicitation, or providing incorrect educational credentials.
